It has been confirmed that Mo Salah will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the current season. Salah has enjoyed nine years with the club and won every major trophy; he has also become a Liverpool legend in that time.

Liverpool has agreed to end Mo Salah’s contract one year early, so Salah can be a free agent at the end of the season. Mo has made a statement, “thanking the club for the best time of my life.” The 33-year-old will now be free to play wherever he chooses at the end of the season. Many expect him to play in the Saudi league, where he will be on massive wages.

The Egyptian will have his Anfield farewell against Brentford on the 24th of May, the final Premier League match for Liverpool. Salah sits third as the all-time goal scorer for Liverpool with 255 goals over his nine-year spell. Salah was signed from Roma in 2017 for a fee of 34 million and has lifted seven major trophies with Liverpool.

Salah has the chance to add to that total before the end of the season as Liverpool are in the quarter finals of both the FA Cup and Champions League. By leaving a year early, Salah is saving Liverpool money as his wages are rumored to be £350,000 to £400,000 a week.
