Stake Expands into Mexico Before 2026 World Cup

Stake has officially launched in Mexico, continuing its expansion across Latin America. The operator will go live via stake.mx, focusing on its sportsbook offering ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The company will operate under permits regulated by SEGOB, working through Uno Capali’s licence. This move adds Mexico to Stake’s operations in the region, alongside markets such as Peru and Colombia.

The timing of the launch is closely linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which Mexico will co-host with the United States and Canada. The tournament is expected to drive significant betting activity across the region.

Stake is launching early to take advantage of demand during the tournament, as major events usually bring more users and higher activity.

According to Stake director Jarrod Febbraio, Mexico represents a key step in the company’s regional strategy.
